The Turner Companies were originally formed in 1984 as Turner & Associates, a sales and marketing consultancy, by J.D. Turner. An insurance professional with over forty years experience, Mr. Turner held several executive positions with multi-billion dollar insurance companies before leaving corporate and forming the Turner Companies.

Turner General Agency, Inc. was established in 1994 to meet the needs of Texas insurance agents for homeowners coverages following the massive hail storms of that year. The agency has grown considerably over the past ten years and expanded into the commercial insurance field in 1997.

Today the agency offers Texas agents a complete line of homeowners, dwelling fire and multiple commercial programs. Brett Turner, the founder's son, joined the company in 1997, following a successful career in advertising and today heads the company's daily operations in their offices in Dallas, Texas.

Other Turner companies consist of TFS Funding, LLP, a premium finance company, as well as International Marketing Services, a wholesale brokerage and reinsurance consultancy headed by J.D. Turner. The company plans further growth and expansion to better serve the financial and insurance needs of their clients.
