PROCEDURES

Procedures for Submitting
Homeowner and/or Dwelling Fire Applications

1. Fax Acord™ applications to our Dallas office at (972) 203-8206. (Other company applications are acceptable for binding purposes only.)
2. Applications received in our office before one o'clock will be processed and a binder will be faxed to your office the same day. If you need a rush binder for loan closing, please show "Rush for Closing" and date of closing on your request.
3. On your transmittal sheet to us, please state the coverage applied for and the requested effective date. (Example HO-A w/ water + RCV on Dwelling, April 27, 2005)
4. Within seven (7) working days send us the original Acord™ application with Agent and Insured signatures, two (2) color photos of the insured property and net premium. Turner will order the inspection for you. We will mail the policy to your office for delivery to the insured.
5. Surplus lines tax of 4.85% and stamping fee of .10% is to be charged on the total premium, including the inspection and policy fees.
6. It is your responsibility to bill the mortgagee for the total premium on new business. A copy of the binder or declaration page may be used for this billing.
7. On renewals we will DIRECT BILL the mortgagee, UNLESS YOU REQUEST OTHERWISE.
8. Premium Financing is handled through TFS Funding, L.L.P. The financing program offers Turner agents 15% down. If you need financing please go to www.tfsfunding.com and click on New Agent.
9. Your commission is a straight 15% of the pure premium and Turner will order the inspection for the agent.
Insurer: Underwritten by Certain Underwriters at Lloyd's, London.
Term: Annual Policies
Inspection Fee: Turner will order the inspection for the agent at no additional charge. However, an inspection fee for High Value Homeowners will be charged between $75 - $250 (straight pass through).
Cancellation: All fees are fully earned and 25% minimum premium earned.
Binding: AGENT MAY NOT BIND WITHOUT WRITTEN BINDER FROM TURNER GENERAL AGENCY, INC.
Application: Other company applications may be used for quoting purposes and binding. However, a completed and signed standard ACORD form must be submitted with premium.
Policies: All policies will be issued by Turner & Associates and sent to the writing agent for delivery to the insured.
Premium Payment: Writing agent may remit net of agreed commission.
   
Tax and Fee: All premiums and policy fees are subject to Texas surplus lines tax of 4.85% of Pure Premium
and a stamping fee of 0.10% totaling 4.95%.
   
Commissions: Agent commission is 15% of the pure premium.
