Agent Login (Security)

What is happening now

Your current web-site launches a small "login-type" box when the web-surfer clicks either Personal Lines or Commercial Lines. A six-digit number is required, and the web-surfer must click the "Enter" button shown on screen. This appears to be a form of security, however, all it really does is validate ANY number between 100000 and 999999. In order to accomplish some of the suggestions in this document, a real form of security will be a requirement.

What could be happening

The TCS software creates a unique ID and assigns it to any Agent added to the Producers maintenance area. This is all behind the scenes. In fact, no TCS user ever sees this system number. By adding a "UserName" and "Password" field to the Agent table, we can capture User Settings for the Agent via the web-site (via a profiles link). (A unique number is required to keep the Agents from logging into the web-site as each other).

Once we can uniquely identify each Agent on the web-site, we can:

·Send e-mail confirmation of Application Requests submitted.
·Send e-mail request for missing information on a particular application.
·Create pending records in TCS, assigned to and completed by the Agent.
·Send e-mail confirmation a Policy was bound to the Agent.
·Optionally: Send a merged "Binding Document" in uneditable PDF format to the Agent.
